Web tip: Shorten your long links with the cute MooUrl

Moourl
We're all for web applications that have the powerful triple combo: useful, easy, and cute. MooUrl definitely fits the bill.

Instead of sending links of urls to your friends and co-workers that are like a thousand characters long, Moourl will let you shrink the url to a small number of characters. Nice! I use MooUrl all the time for things like IM and Twitter, butmostly I go back over and over because that cute cow is so happy looking.

Great attitude: Christina Applegate feeling optimistic after double masectomy

Christinaapplegate1
I have a serious girl crush going on for Christina Applegate. When I heard she had breast cancer, my heart went out to her.  But when I heard that she underwent a double masectomy in order to beat the cancer and that she is looking at this whole experience as a story of living versus dying,  I fell more in love with her. Christina syas of her healing:

"Sometimes, you know, I cry. And sometimes I scream. And I get really angry. And I get really upset, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think it's all part of the healing."

Man, I love the honesty!

What's interesting is that Christina's career originally was built on the sexy blonde image starting with Kelly Bundy, and really the star talent was her boobs. Now that she has had a double masectomy and will be having reconstructive surgery, does the taking away of her breasts also take away her bombshell sexiness?

I say no, and her story is one that shows women that your beauty is not tied to your body, and that a body that ages and shows the tracks of time and experience grows into something beautiful as well.
